VHG – Vision: Express Yourself – Part 4

OUR RHEMA VISION

  1. Our Executive Summary:
    • Summary:
A God-given vision is a big picture of a better and brighter future. The audacity of vision challenges those who see it to believe beyond what the eyes can see, to reach for more than the mind can imagine, and to strive for more than the hands can ever do. Vision is generational, serving the current generation yet outliving them to serve generations to come. Vision is always bigger than us.

  1. Our Seven Mountains & Fields:
    • Summary:
In the Scripture, mountains are high places of society, and fields are disciplines or vocations. Both mountains and fields are spheres of influence, shaping and directing culture. Our world is shaped and directed by those who operate in these high places and those who are masters in their fields. Believers have been called, as salt and light, to affect change upon the mountains and in the fields of this world. When seeking to glorify Christ upon mountains and in fields, the kingdom of God is expressed in this world. In the words of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come!
    • Discussion Questions:
      • Discuss ways that you have seen this world being shaped by any of the seven mountains listed in our vision.
      • How can we ensure that we are positioning believers either upon these mountains or within the various fields so that the kingdom of God can be expressed?
      • What do you believe this world would look like if serious believers were dominant in the various disciplines listed in our vision?
  2. Conclusion:
    • Summary:
Our God-given vision is steeped in the desire to see the kingdom of God expressed throughout all of life. Our prayer is simple: “Thy Kingdom come; thy will be done!” [Matt. 6:10]. Our desired end is to see the “glory of the Lord cover the earth, as the waters cover the sea.” [Hab. 2:14]. To this end, we are committed to God’s vision with the hope that we will live to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, Propel Us Toward Vision Fulfillment, In Jesus’ Name.
