- Pastor Began Our New Series with An In-depth Look at The Culture of The Early Church as Recorded in The Book of Acts. Have You Ever Been a Part of a Church Culture That Was Similar to That of Acts Chapters 2 and 4? If So, How Was This Created? How Are We Doing with Respect to Culture in Rhema and Are We Close to The Culture of The Early Church? What Are Some of The Steps That Could Take Us There?
- One Of the Ways of Creating Culture Is Called Biblical Adherence. This Is Where Everyone Who Is a Part of a Ministry Decides to Embrace and Practice the Teachings of Scripture as Taught by The Pastor And/or The Leaders. We See This Being Done in Acts 2:42. Here Is Perhaps the Deepest Question Ever Asked in Our Small Groups and We Can Spend All Evening on It If Needed – “How Can We Get Everyone in Rhema on The Same Page with Embracing, And Practicing The Word, As Taught To Us?”
- Finally, We Looked at The Power of Our Traditions in Shaping Church Culture. This Is Where Our Deeply Held Beliefs and Norms Are Brought Over, Entrenched Within the Church, And Subsequently Practiced as Though They Were Scripture. What Are Some “Church-Traditions” That You Have Seen? Are There Some Traditions That Are Good and Are There Some That Urgently Need to Be Let Go? How Do We Ensure That We’re Not Bound by Traditions to The Extent That God’s Word Becomes Useless to Us?
