The word “Membership” is a covenantal concept, denoting covering or accountability, responsibility, commitment, obligations and benefits.
Membership is a decision, a decision to commit and align oneself with the vision, mission and mandate of the local church.
It is the joining of bodies corporately to edify each other and holding each other accountable to walk in a manner that is representative & pleasing to the Lord.
It conveys the idea that one is part of a greater/bigger whole. Church membership is submitting one’s self under the vision, guidance and instruction of the Leadership of a local church.
Church membership requires that one faithfully serve, support and uphold the vision of the local church and live in fellowship with the community of believers called the “brethren.”
At Rhema, membership is granted to individuals who have:
- Confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord & Saviour
- Covenanted with the teachings of the church
- Completed the requisite Membership Orientation Classes
- Completed the requisite Kingdom Classes
- Committed to serving within the ministry
