Giving

By giving to Rhema Canada, your contributions support our work locally and globally. On behalf of the many lives that will be changed and affected by your giving, we thank you.

We offer four methods through which you can give to the many causes we support.

Cash/Cheque - The traditional method of cash and/or cheque can be placed in an offering envelope and given during any of our worship services. Envelopes can be placed on the altar or given to one of our sanctuary staff. Please print your name and address clearly, identifying the area(s) you which your gifts to be directed so that we can correctly disburse the funds as you desire, and issue your Tax Receipt.

Pre-Authorized Payment - Scheduled funds will be deducted from your account of choice based on a specified dollar amount and requested frequency. Please click here for the form, then complete, sign and either scan and email or fax it to Attention Treasury: treasury@rhemaonline.ca or (416)496-1795.

Telephone/Internet Banking - Giving by telephone or internet can be done 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world, through the major Canadian Banks: Scotia, RBC, CIBC, TD, BMO or Tangerine. Simply add Rhema as a payee as you would any other bill.  You may also pay via bank teller as well.

Paypal - Giving can be done through Paypal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you don’t already have a PayPal account, one will need to be set up. Click here to register with PayPal or log in.

If you have any questions, our Treasury team will be happy to assist you. Please call us at (416) 496-1794 Ext: 238

Rhema Canada is a charitable not-for-profit organization with its head office located in Downsview Park, in Toronto. We are always looking for solutions with impact for those we serve and have a number of projects focused on supporting the betterment of lives in local and global communities.

Throughout the year we support various initiatives:

Locally

Project Beautiful
It is our belief that all women have an inner beauty that is often masked by life’s circumstances. Through this program women receive hope and encouragement, empowering them to harness those experiences and use them to propel themselves forward.

Storehouse
Storehouse is a community food bank service assisting the community by supplementing the grocery needs of many families throughout the GTA.

Keeping Warm
Conducted for two weeks in February each year, we collect and donate new or gently used winter coats.

If you have known anyone without proper shelter and warmth in winter then you know the importance of doing everything possible to protect them from the elements. This initiative is conducted for two weeks each February where we collect and donate new or gently used coats. This is one of the ways Rhema changes and affects lives within our local community.  Once collected the coats are sorted and distributed to these three shelters located in Toronto:

  • Eva’s Initiatives
  • Scott Mission
  • North York Women’s Shelter

Youth Mentorship Program
With this program Rhema Canada partners with Eva’s Initiatives and its three youth shelters developing an annual recreation program. Throughout the year, we empower and build relationships with the youth through activities such as basketball, dance, cooking classes and more.

Volunteer Month
At Rhema, we understand the impact volunteering has on our local community.  We make a difference by facilitating the opportunity for our community to volunteer with local agencies during the month of June or July serving in whatever capacity those agencies require.

Back to School Initiatives
Each year, during the months of July and August, we collect and distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to many shelters in our community.

Globally

Academia Cristina La Montanita
The goal of this sponsorship program is to change and affect the lives of underprivileged children. Your sponsorship dollars go a long way to educate and equip poor and orphaned children.
